Ryan Melsert

CEO, CTO, Director

Ryan Melsert brings twenty years of multidisciplinary expertise to his positions as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of the Company. Ryan previously served as R&D Manager for Tesla’s Gigafactory Battery Materials Processing group. He founded and led a cross-functional team of mechanical and chemical engineers who implemented first principles design to develop novel first-of-kind systems for the extraction, purification, and synthesis of precursor and active battery materials. This development scope included the fundamental conceptual design, rigorous thermodynamic and process modeling, design and fabrication of bench-scale prototypes, construction and operation of integrated pilot systems, and implementation of commercial scale systems for the processing of battery materials. Other roles include R&D Manager (Advanced Energy & Transportation Technologies) for Southern Research and Energy Systems Consultant for the Advanced Technology Development Center in Atlanta Georgia. He has a variety of publications and patents in his name, and in previous positions has won several Department of Energy grants and innovation competitions.

Andrés Meza

Chief Operations Officer

Andrés Meza has over fifteen years of extensive experience both with the operations of manufacturing facilities as well as with the evolution of high-growth startups to established global corporations. In his previous work as a global supply manager for Apple, Andrés focused on the commissioning and scale-up of manufacturing facilities across Asia and the implementation of cost efficiencies throughout their supply chain. Andrés also spent time at McKinsey and Company as an engagement manager, where he analyzed the manufacturing operations of global corporations and developed strategic assessments for executives to implement operational efficiencies in their facilities and business units.

David Corsaut

Chief Financial Officer (Outgoing)

As Chief Financial Officer for ABTC, David Corsaut brings 35 years’ experience as a founder, leader, senior executive, advisor, trustee and financier of businesses in the United States, Europe, Latin America and Asia. He has managed more than 100 successful mergers and acquisitions throughout more than 35 year’s experience as a founder, leader, senior executive, advisor, trustee and financier of businesses in the United States, Europe, Latin America and Asia. Corsaut completed a Bachelor of Science degree from Western Michigan University and graduate work in accounting, finance and management both in the U. S. and Europe.

Kimberly Eckert

Chief Financial Officer

Kimberly Eckert has over two decades of corporate finance and strategic mineral resource development experience, working specifically within the critical minerals and precious metals industry, across the investment banking, corporate financial management, investment management, and strategic consulting fields. Eckert served as Vice President at Deutsche Bank in Global Corporate Investment Banking of its Natural Resources Metals & Mining group, and as the Director of Strategic Development at Coeur Mining, a company focused on the development of critical and precious metals throughout Nevada, South Dakota, Alaska, British Columbia, and Mexico. She is an expert in corporate strategy, valuation, capital raises, and investor relations, with specific financial expertise in seed-stage start-ups within the natural resources industry. Over the course of her career, she has advised and executed on debt and equity linked financings as lead or joint bookrunner, and advised on numerous mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.

Scott Jolcover

Chief Resource Officer

Scott Jolcover, Chief Resource Officer for the American Battery Technology Company, has development expertise spanning five decades including expertise in construction, mining and land development, water resource, claims management, economic and environmental solutions. Prior to joining the Company, he served as the Director of Development and General Site Manager for Comstock Mining Inc. from 2005 until November 2020, where he managed all commercial transactions, including land, water and other major capital expenditures and acquisitions and served on Comstock’s board of directors for two years. His other roles include the President and CEO for Virginia City Ventures, which established the Comstock Gold Mill and partnered with the Tri-County Railway Commission. Jolcover  has board and leadership roles with Nevada Works, Northern Nevada Development Authority (NNDA), Design and Construction Committee, and a 20-year relationship with Virginia City Tourism Commission (VCTC), including Chair and Vice-Chair roles.
